‘American Idol’ Singer Jimmy Levy Dabbled with Evil in Hollywood. Now He’s Exposing It

Gospel singer Jimmy Levy surrounded himself with “worshippers of the devil” before encountering Jesus.

The Israeli-born artist was a contestant on “American Idol” in 2020 when he realized “spiritual war” and Satan was real, ultimately leading him to Christ.

“When I was in the industry, I became very lonely, depressed, and I realized how dark it is,” he told Fox News. 

“I would put a stupid tattoo on my hand of the devil,” Levy explained. “I started hanging out around people that would proclaim themselves as worshipers of the devil. And I just didn’t understand what I was getting myself into.”

Levy said he was tormented by demons at night and started “getting attacked constantly.”

His friend, how is a preacher, named Nick reached out to him.

“He would always call me in the beginning and then through my career, all the times he saw me post some dark images or satanist-looking things and he’d be like, ‘Jimmy, I want to tell you about Jesus.’ And I’d be like, ‘I don’t want to hear this. I’m Jewish. Goodbye,'” Levy said.

The “Amen” singer declared Jesus as his Lord and Savior, started reading the Bible and got baptized in July 2021.

“There’s some point where God gives you the eyes to see and you have a chance to turn from the past of the agendas that you’re promoting … if you’re given the eyes to see it, you have to deny that money. You have to deny that world. You have to deny the fame, everything, and just do what’s right for God, for freedom, for America,” Levy said.

He has since released more conservative songs, like “Boycott Target” and a cover of “Try That in a Small Town,” but he said he’s going to release a full worship album.

“Now it’s time for God,” he concluded. “We fought it and you know, at the end, God prevailed through it and an awakening happened.”

Levy tweeted Sunday, “I hope that everyone who is currently protesting the Hollywood entertainment industry uses that same energy to stand up against the sexual abuse and exploitation of children that has been going on for years. I notice that many of you have stayed silent in order to keep your job, but now that you are most likely being robbed by the same individuals, it’s time to speak up.”
