K-Pop star Siwon Choi, who is an outspoken Christian, faced backlash online after he went to a meeting to pray for Israel in South Korea.

“A special day. A meaningful invitation,” the “Super Junior” singer and K-drama actor wrote in a post with four photos on Instagram, where he has over 8 million followers, and Twitter, where he has over 7 million.
Choi was pictured in front of a banner that read “Korea-Israel 60 Years of Diplomatic Relations Prayer Breakfast,” dated April 7th.
Although Choi has been fighting online bullying through his role as a UNICEF ambassador, many in the comments were quick to spew hate at Choi for supporting Israel.
“Does it mean you support Israel? Really? Its’ really sad. *Disappointed*,” the top comment on his Instagram post reads.

“#freepalestine,” another wrote.
“How could you shake hands with their bloody hands,” a follower said.
The 36-year-old Korean celebrity also posts videos on YouTube where he reads chapters of the Bible in Korean.

He also sang “The Blessing” with AGAPAO Worship, which you can watch below.
I had the honor of meeting Choi at church in New York City when he was visiting one Sunday.
On his Twitter bio, Choi says he is “wishing to be a good son, a good father, a faithful husband, a wise missionary, and an obedient servant of God.”
He does so much for the next generation and frequently shares his faith in Jesus with his fans. The hate directed at Choi shows how Israel and the Jewish people still face senseless vitriol all around the world.
