Christian Woman Fired After ‘Christ Alone’ Post: ‘Time to Be Bold In Our Faith’

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Marbach, the woman who was targeted by an Ohio congressman for sharing the gospel, has been fired from her job, according to multiple reports.

Marbach, a former Trump campaign and Ohio Republican Party staffer, was let go from the Ohio Right to Life, The Sentinel first reported.

Marbach, who is a “proud Reformed Baptist, is still listed as director of communications on Ohio Right to Life’s website.

On Tuesday, she posted on X, formerly Twitter: “There’s no hope for any of us outside of having faith in Jesus Christ alone.”

Rep. Max Miller (R-OH), who later apologized, responded: “This is one of the most bigoted tweets I have ever seen. Delete it, Lizzie. Religious freedom in the United States applies to every religion. You have gone too far.”

It was viewed millions of times, which, Marbach pointed out: “What man meant for evil, God means for good!”

She added in another post: “May it be a stark reminder to Christians that now is the time to be bold in our faith—even when people on ‘our side’ stand against us. Let’s continue proclaiming that Jesus Christ is LORD today!”

The outlet reports that Miller’s wife, Emily Moreno Miller, sits on the Ohio Right to Life board. The couple is Jewish.

The largest pro-life group in the Buckeye State had already offered Marbach the opportunity to resign or another position, according to internal communications, but she declined, the Post Millennial reports.

Her bio reads in part:

She firmly believes that the only path forward in the fight against abortion is to allow the bible alone to define the issue and to reject the temptation to remove God from the conversation. She believes that scripture alone is our sole authority and should be our ultimate guide in all things—including politics.

In every endeavor, Elizabeth is dedicated to proclaiming the truth in love boldly and courageously to advance God’s kingdom.

Marbach told The Sentinel she doesn’t regret making her post about Jesus being the only hope.

“God will continue to use this situation to bring glory and honor to his name,” she told the outlet. “Preborn lives are being slaughtered every day, and Ohio Right to Life is one of the few organizations in a position to stop it. I hope and pray that they would prioritize abolishing abortion in Ohio going forward and not be distracted by politics.”

It’s refreshing to see Lizzie take such a bold stand for her faith in Jesus while so many in the public openly mock and have disdain for Christians.
