‘Jesus Lifted High’: Hundreds Baptized at University of Cincinnati Revival

While the mainstream media focuses on division and despair, a powerful, grassroots revival is sweeping a college campus in Ohio, and the images are going viral.

On Wednesday night, more than 5,500 students gathered at the University of Cincinnati for a “UniteUS” worship event. But this was no ordinary gathering. It was a genuine move of God, culminating in hundreds of students being baptized in truck beds outside the Reds baseball stadium.

Organizers says there were 5,500 young people in attendance inside the Heritage Bank Center. More than 2,000 made decisions or rededicated their lives to Christ, thousands more connected to local churches, and 285 students were baptized.

“What we witnessed at the University of Cincinnati tonight was just a glimpse of what heaven will be like! Praise the Lord for the gift of freedom found in JESUS,” wrote UniteUS founder and organizer Tonya Prewett on Instagram.

UC student Anna Brown wrote in a separate post, “God is here and working in this generation, thank you Lord for this experience tonight. God, you are such an amazing God! Thank you Jesus, for saving me.”

One person commented, “So awesome to see this spiritual awakening and revival in such a young crowd!”

UC students Trinity Gehr and Nick Waite, who helped organize the event, told Fox News how “tranformative” the night was for the campus.

“There was true freedom,” Trinity said. “We’ve seen testimony after testimony.” She shared that a girl told her about getting free from suicidal thoughts.

“You see students that are struggling with suicide, they’re struggling with pornography, they’re struggling with alcoholism or addiction, or even comparison with what their classmates think of them, and it’s really easy for the world to say why are they getting baptized, what’s happening? They don’t deserve that,” Nick said, adding, “but through Unite we say that Jesus says that they’re worth it and they find freedom, so the whole thing is remarkable, watching somebody, putting them in the water where they go from death to life, and they start to walk in freedom.”

Trinity, noting the impact since Charlie Kirk’s death, added, “The message of Jesus is still being spread,”

This powerful movement in Cincinnati isn’t an isolated incident. It’s part of a wave of college revivals, following the historic outpouring at Asbury University. It’s a clear sign that, contrary to the narrative, students aren’t looking for politics or secular activism—they are looking for Jesus.

This is what real hope looks like. This is the good news. Revival is here.
