“I’m excited to once again serve my country and be all I can be in hopes of encouraging others to be a part of something greater than ourselves,” Morgan told Fox News.
“I love being an artist but I consider it a true privilege and honor to work with what I believe are the greatest of Americans, my fellow soldiers. God Bless America. Go Army.”
After performing at a military fundraiser last year, he told Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) leaving the military early after 17 years of service was his “biggest regret.” Blackburn’s team reportedly connected the country music star with officials from the Department of Defense.

The “Soldier” singer served in the Army and Army Reserve with the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions as a staff sergeant and fire support specialist. He previously worked with the USO and earned the Army’s Outstanding Civilian Service Medal and the USO Merit Award.
He posted a throwback photo with the caption, “Once a soldier, always a soldier. I love our country.”
Morgan plans to continue his “God, Faith, Country” tour and will release new music.
