An alternative to the controversial “He Gets Us” Super Bowl LVIII commercial is going viral, shifting the main message to “He Saves Us.”
Pastor Jamie Bambrick made a one-minute ad featuring several testimonies of Christians with “former” lifestyles before being changed by Jesus Christ.
“The Christian Super Bowl Ad They SHOULD Have Made,” Bambrick wrote in a post on X.
His version of the commercial has been viewed by millions.
Many praised it online for clearly showing the gospel compared to the “He Gets Us” campaign that confused many viewers during the Super Bowl.

Bambrick, an associate pastor of Hope Church Craigavon in Northern Ireland, said the “He Gets Us” spot “whilst perhaps well intentioned, failed to convey anything of the gospel to the hundreds of millions who saw it.”
His version starts with famous tattoo artist Kat Von D, identified as a “former witch,” showing her baptism, and ends with Christian author and speaker Rosaria Butterfield, a “former lesbian activist.”

“Jesus doesn’t just get us,” the video concludes. “He saves us. He transforms us. He cleanses us. He restores us. He forgives us. He heals us. He delivers us. He redeems us. He loves us.”
