Thousands of Christians Shut Down Hollywood Blvd to Expose Darkness, Praise Jesus

More than 2,500 Christian believers gathered on Hollywood Blvd. to expose the darkness and release the sound of freedom across the city, according to organizers.

The gathering was part of the “California Will Be Saved (CAWBS)” movement co-founded by Ross Johnston and Joel Mott, who explained he was inspired by the popular film, “Sound of Freedom.”

“This was truly a historic and miraculous day,” the group said. “Salvation, miracles, healing, and deliverance broke out across the whole strip! God released His freedom and joy.”

“California leads the nation in reported human trafficking cases and Los Angeles is at the top regarding high-intensity child exploitation,” Mott wrote before the big gathering.

“We knew it was time to go into Hollywood, an industry that wouldn’t show this film, but additionally, a city known for sexual immorality, trafficking, and all kinds of wickedness,” he said.

The revivalist explained it is “time to expose this darkness but to offer an invitation to know Jesus–our only hope for bringing people out of bondage and seeing lasting change.”

Christians gathered in front of where movies premiere to “roll out the ‘red carpet’ for King Jesus’ arrival.”

“We have friends from across the nation joining us for this historic moment where we will worship, preach the Godpsel and give testimony and a call to action on how to help end this issue of human trafficking,” Mott added.

Organizer said the Los Angeles Police Department said they’ve “never shut down this section for a Christian organized event.”

Videos from the event have gone viral on social media.

“I believe that as we gather together and begin to release a sound of worship over the city, false gods and wicked principalities will crumble,” Mott said. “As the Gospel goes forth, tourists and people from across the world will find Salvation. I believe those in the sex-trade industry, traffickers and prostitutes alike, will come to repentance and freedom in Jesus. I believe satanists, atheists and God haters will encounter God’s love. I believe Hollywood will be saved.”

The CAWBS team is planning events in Huntington Beach, Sacramento, and San Diego.
