Country music star Luke Combs honored an 8-year-old leukemia patient’s wish at a concert over the weekend.
Combs invited Cooper Massengill on stage to sing “Fast Car” with him and the entire stadium joined in for a truly remarkable and American moment.
“When I was walking up, everyone was shouting my name,” Cooper told WBZ News. “It felt great.”

The little boy just wanted to meet his favorite artist, but Make-A-Wish went above and beyond, granting his wish to sing his favorite song with him.
The Georgia family was overwhelmed when the crowd chanted “Cooper” at Gillette Stadium near Boston, Massachusetts.

“I had gone through a lot of stuff, a lot of surgeries,” Cooper, who was diagnosed with leukemia at three years old, said.
His parents fought back tears recalling the special moment.
“It was great to see him get the wish he wanted after going through everything,” said Travis Massengill, Cooper’s dad said. “I was just amazed they could organize all that for him,” said Cooper’s mom, Melissa Massengil.
“Everybody doesn’t get a wish and be grateful if you get a wish,” said Cooper.
