A New Jersey school officer is being praised for his heroic actions when a young girl almost got hit by a car.
The Park Ridge Police Department posted the intense footage online, which was captured by surveillance camera.
Mike Stallone, a special law enforcement officer with the Park Ridge Police Department, had just been assigned to West Ridge Elementary School, to keep the kids safe.
And he delivered, jumping into action when he saw the girl in a dangerous situation.
“Mike’s quick actions prevented a child from being seriously injured last week,” the department said. “Mike quickly recognized that a child could be pinned between two cars during school drop off and jumped in to help. We salute Mike Stallone for his valiant act.”

“Officer Stallone is so incredibly friendly and we are so lucky to have him. Great job!” one woman wrote on the department’s Facebook page.
“Thank God! So blessed to have you Officer Mike!” another person said.
Great job, Officer Stallone! We need more examples like you, protecting and defending the next generation.
