President Donald J. Trump gave aid and comfort to the residents of East Palestine, Ohio Wednesday after the train derailment that devasted their community.
The 2024 Republican presidential candidate spoke with Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and the town’s mayor Trent R. Conaway before he immediately received a warm reception from citizens there.
“We love you, President Trump,” they shouted to Trump.

Trump delivered truckloads of bottled water, cleaning supplies, and other goods to the citizens ahead of his visit.
And after he spoke with officials, he made a surprise stop at McDonald’s and purchased food for everyone there and picked up Big Macs for the fire and police departments.

As an Ohio native, I’m grateful that Trump took the time to visit East Palestine and tell them they are not forgotten.
