A group of Ukrainians was spotted kneeling in prayer as Russia started attacking the nation.
CNN chief international correspondent Clarissa Ward commented on the “moving” actions of faith in the midst of chaos.
“To see these people kneeling on the cold stone in prayer is, honestly, it’s moving,” Ward told CNN host Don Lemon Thursday morning.
The group was gathered in the town square of Kharkiv, which has suffered missile blasts from Russia.
Much of the world is offering prayers to Ukraine as Russia’s military advances.
I’m reminded of the Bible verse in the Old Testament that says in part that “the battle belongs to the Lord.”
Praying safety and peace over Ukraine and all those in harm’s way in the coming days.
