More than 200,000 people reportedly joined an “emergency prayer call” for Donald Trump just hours after the former president and 2024 presidential candidate was arraigned in New York City Tuesday.
“Let Us Worship” founder Sean Feucht said he joined the prayer call with Trump and several faith leaders hosted by the National Faith Advisory Board and Intercessors for America (IFA).
“Sometimes it has to get this bad before people finally wake up,” Feucht tweeted. “I believe the church is waking up.”
Jentezen Franklin, the senior pastor of Free Chapel, said it was “absolutely sickening” to watch what Trump went through.
“We are going to see a victory out of this that is beyond anything we can imagine,” he said before praying. “If we ever needed him, we desperately need his leadership. We know this a political battle, but it’s also a spiritual battle.”
Paula White Cain, pastor and founder of the National Faith Advisory Board, said she has walked for 23 years with Trump, whom she described him as a “great father, husband, boss, businessman, golfer, friend, entertainer, and ultimately president.” White said that Trump has “led righteously through it all” before introducing him.
Trump told those on the call he’s “fighting very hard for people of religion, people that believe in God, people that believe in faith.” Trump called the investigation against him a “sham.”
“Keep up the fight,” Trump told the faith leaders. “I just want to thank everybody…We have to win in 2024.”
Pastor Samuel Rodriguez prayed, “Today’s action expose the institutions that we once revered now stand infected with corruption, deception, malfeasance, and hatred. But we come together in the mighty name of Jesus. God Almighty, protect and vindicate Donald Trump. Please protect and vindicate the most pro-life, pro-religious liberty president in American history.”
Former Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann prayed, “Father, we see our president Donald J. Trump has taken the blows for America. He has taken the blows for us. And so we lift him up to you…would you declare Donald J. Trump innocent!”
