Actor and singer-songwriter Joshua Bassett organized a pop-up worship service in Los Angeles, California on Saturday.
The 20-year-old Disney star was baptized earlier that week at Bethel Church in Redding, where he shared what Jesus delivered him from.
“Testimony. Worship. Word. Joshua Bassett,” the sign outside the Globe Theatre read.
Bassett told those gathered at the event about the moment he was saved and what led to his baptism.
‘God showed up’: Testimony on what was different about the Asbury University Revival
“I called my dad and I said, ‘Dad, I want you to help me get saved,’ and he helped me say the sinner’s prayer. But the craziest part about this is — that very moment, he was praying for the Lord to save me, in that moment,” Bassett said.
“I’m running around calling everyone I know like I’m a Christian now, God is real, Jesus is great,” he added. “To know Jesus Christ is to know peace now.”
The singer shared a worship song he wrote on Friday in which he sang, “We need you, Lord.”
